Who we are
What personal data we collect and why we do it
When a visitor leaves a comment on the site we collect the data on the form, the visitor’s IP address and the browser used, to help spam detection systems.
f you upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with geolocation data (EXIF GPS). Site users can download and extract data from images.
If you leave a comment on our site, you are leaving your name, email address and presence on the site’s cookies. The latter are present for your convenience, so that you do not have to re-enter your data once you want to insert a comment. These cookies will be kept for one year
If you have a logged in account on this site, temporary cookies will test if your browser accepts cookies. These cookies contain no personal data and will be discarded once the browser is closed.
When you log in, cookies will be present to save information and display choices. The log-in cookies will last for one year, together with data regarding display choices. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
If you edit or publish an article, additional cookies will be saved on your browser.
These cookies include no personal data and only indicate the ID of the post. They last for one day.
The contact form relating to the newsletter only collects the email provided as data, the data of which will be shared with the Mailchimp software
Data entered on the website
Articles on the site may contain “embedded” content (images, videos, articles, etc.). Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visit their website.
These sites may collect data from you, using cookies, through third-party tracking systems.
Who we share your data with
The only other platform with which data sharing is possible on our part is Mailchimp, but you will have to actively provide your email for this to happen.
In any case, IP addresses are made anonymous, so as not to provide geographic information in any way.
How long we keep your data
If you leave a comment, it and any metadata will be kept indefinitely. This way we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up comments, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our site, we will store the personal information in the profile. All users can see, modify and delete personal information at any time (except for the username). Only site administrators can change this information.
What rights do you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided publicly. You can request to have your data deleted. This does not include any data that we are required to keep for administrative, legal or security-related reasons.
